Casa Mahala Essence
Dreamed up by Ambre Boukebza and realized by her friend Isabelle Stanislas, Casa Mahala essence is a rare haven of peace, with a soft and enveloping energy.
Here the reconnection to oneself and to nature is done in a natural way.
Located in Comporta, one hour from Lisbon, the house welcomes you to live regenerating stays, out of time.
A return to the essential, moments of pure and authentic pleasure and sharing, cradled by the practice of yoga, meditation, pranayamas and deep transforming experiences chosen by us.
Who are we?
There are yoga classes that move you, that overwhelm you, this is what happened to me a few years ago during a Bikram yoga class in Paris.
A real love at first sight on the mat, a feeling of deep well-being and a wonderful and rare reconnection to oneself.
This yoga with its powerful and transforming energy gave a new meaning and a new direction to my life.
After 15 years in the world of fashion and cinema, I decided to train with Hélène Fournier and Frédéric Choucroun in this creative energy yoga.
Very quickly the vision of a global holistic project of well-being germinated in me. This is the beginning of the Mahala Essence adventure.
First with a line of high-end yoga clothes, then the desire for a cocoon of deep renewal imposed itself with the wish to take care of others and to transmit to them the keys of a healthy lifestyle that is dear to me.
It is in Portugal, in Comporta, that my dream of Casa Mahala Essence came true after many years of reflection.
To serve and accompany in the best possible way, I decided to train in other practices such as yoga therapy and hypno-meditation with Céline Miconnet as well as in yin yoga with Philippe Beer Gabel and Anne Gaëlle Guillot.
Today my teaching is gentle and powerful, inspired by yoga, dance and tai chi which I teach in our studio in Lisbon and during our retreats in Comporta in the house.

I imagine this Casa Mahala Essence as a square, open to nature with its long glass corridors that lead to the individual cabins of the suites.
Each one has its own secret garden, inside and outside.
A haven of light and shade that plays with the sun in a pure play of elegance and lines.
Carved in logs or in frameworks, the wood scratches the white lime of the walls. The concrete powder envelops the floors, baths and benches covered with linen and cotton cushions in the same unity. A dune and earth colored universe shaped by its natural materials and custom-made furniture. The sky here colors the ceramic of the pool and the pines protect the comfort of the extra-wide sofas. The essential invites you to center yourself.”
